About The Raines Campaign

Our History

In 2009, while traveling across the USA with the intention of walking the streets of cities, to meet the homeless and offer to buy meals, Dylan Raines realized that it was not resources we lack to solve problems of poverty, but relationships. He found that many people did want something to eat, but on a deeper level, people really simply wanted someone to listen to their stories and show them they have value. 

In 2012, after walking a 600 mile pilgrimage of the USA’s western coastline, he began developing the idea of creating a campaign not based on politics, but based on bringing people together to solve problems. In 2013, Raines began offering his services as a web developer and communications specialist to humanitarian and environmental causes for free, and that marked the beginning of The Raines Campaign.
